Private Day Trips in Morocco
Short on time, or prefer to keep the same hotel? A private day trip is the easiest way to see more of Morocco. Each excursion below includes hotel pick-up, a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and a driver who knows the road, with a local guide where it adds value. Departure times are flexible and prices are on request.
Day Trips from Marrakech
- Atlas Mountains and Imlil: Berber villages, walnut groves and views of Toubkal, about 1 hour 30 away
- Ourika Valley: river villages, argan cooperatives and the Setti Fatma waterfalls
- Essaouira: the Atlantic port with its ramparts, fish market and beach
- Ouzoud waterfalls: 110-metre falls, boat rides and wild macaques
- Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate: the kasbah road over the High Atlas
- Agafay desert sunset and dinner: camel ride and dinner under the stars, 40 minutes away
- Casablanca and the Hassan II Mosque: modern Morocco and a mosque you can visit inside
- Marrakech private city tour: palaces, souks and gardens with a licensed guide

Choosing the Right Day Trip
If you love mountains and walking, choose Imlil or the Ourika Valley. For the sea and a relaxed pace, Essaouira is ideal, especially in summer when Marrakech is hot. Ait Ben Haddou gives you a taste of the south but involves around eight hours of driving, so consider the 2 day Zagora desert trip if you would like to sleep in the desert too. Families with young children often prefer the shorter Agafay evening.
