Family Tours in Morocco
Morocco is one of the most rewarding family destinations within easy reach of Europe: a few hours' flight, a world of camels, colourful markets, mountains and beaches, and a culture where children are welcomed everywhere. Our private family tours are paced for young travellers, with short driving days, riads with pools and hands-on activities that keep everyone engaged.
How We Plan Family Trips
- Shorter drives: we limit time in the car and build in stops for snacks, views and play.
- Family-friendly stays: riads and hotels with pools, family suites or connecting rooms.
- Child seats provided free on request for every age.
- Activities kids love: camel rides, donkey treks, cooking classes, pottery and bread baking, beach time.
- Flexible meals: simple dishes for picky eaters are always available.
- A patient driver-guide who becomes part of the family adventure.
Our Family Itinerary
- 7 day family adventure from Marrakech: Marrakech, an Atlas village, a desert camp in Agafay and the beach in Essaouira
Family-Friendly Day Trips and Short Tours
- Agafay desert sunset and dinner: a camel ride without the long drive
- Ourika Valley day trip: riverside picnics and waterfalls
- Ouzoud waterfalls day trip: boat rides and monkeys
- Essaouira day trip: ramparts, seagulls and the beach
- 2 day Agafay luxury camp: a first desert night close to Marrakech
Is the Sahara Suitable for Children?
Yes, for children who are comfortable with longer car journeys, usually from around 6 or 7 years old. The 3 day Merzouga tour involves two long driving days; we break them up with plenty of stops. For younger children, the Agafay desert gives a similar experience 40 minutes from Marrakech.
Safety and Health
Morocco is a safe and welcoming country for families. Drink bottled water, use sun protection and pack a small first-aid kit. Pharmacies are easy to find in every town, and our drivers know the nearest clinic on every route.
