Day by Day
Day 1: Arrival and Marrakech street food
Check in to your riad. At dusk, a food guide takes you through the stalls of Jemaa el-Fna and the backstreets of the medina for harira, msemen, snail broth, mechoui and fresh orange juice.
Day 2: Market and cooking class
Shop for spices, vegetables and herbs with a chef, then cook a full Moroccan menu in a riad kitchen: salads, a tajine or couscous, and pastilla. Afternoon visit to a spice shop and the tanjia ovens.
Day 3: Marrakech → High Atlas villages
Drive to the Ourika or Asni area to bake bread in a clay oven with a Berber family, visit a traditional olive press in season and share a mountain lunch. Night at a mountain lodge.
Day 4: Atlas → Argan cooperative → Essaouira
Cross to the coast with an argan oil and amlou tasting, then choose your fish at Essaouira's port grills for lunch. Evening free.
Day 5: Essaouira → Marrakech
Morning at the fish auction and the spice souk, a last mint tea with pastries, and return to Marrakech.
